As part of the "Art for Impact" exhibition series, photographs by York Hovest will be exhibited on the website.

As a National Geographic author, filmmaker and photographer, York undertakes expeditions to the most remote areas of the world. He provides unsparing insights into global challenges, but above all he shows solutions for overcoming them.

Among other things, York founded the association and online platform "Heroes of the Seas" to give marine conservation projects more visibility. People who are committed to saving the oceans can join forces to achieve greater impact together.

He has also published an illustrated book of the same name as well as a documentary, and as a keynote speaker, he takes the solutions of the heroes of the sea out into the world. With his talks at schools and on social media, he aims to sensitise especially the younger generation to marine protection. To raise awareness, he does not shy away from any challenge and crossed the Atlantic in a rowing boat in 50 days.

Together with York Hovest, the Intalcon Foundation is committed to the heroes of the sea and wants to motivate others to get involved in marine protection.

You can find a selection of his impressive photographs and ways to donate here: https://www.intalcon.com/en/foundation/art-for-impact/heros-of-the-sea
